Marieke and Henk-Jan live with their three children in a small village in Brabant, the south of the Netherlands, on the edge of a forest. It is a modern sleek semi-detached house that was built in 2011. In 2018 the house was expanded with a play and storage room; the ceiling-high cabinet was designed and made by an uncle who is a carpenter. Their living style is Scandinavian: lots of light, white and wood, with natural tones. The large steel doors to the extension give the house character, so does the herringbone oak floor in the living room. Marieke loves beautiful design items.
