Maaike and her husband Focco built a house on the ground where her grandparents used to live and where she lived with her parents. “This place feels like home to me. Our home used to be our vegetable garden. I have always enjoyed living here so when the land came up for sale we bought it to build a new home for ourselves. We conceived and designed the house ourselves.” The atmosphere in Maaike and Focco’s house is warm and welcoming. The interior has a base with white, gray and black and the love for brocante is visible everywhere.
