Last year a waterfront office building with a large shed was transformed into a housing complex with a loft on top of it. Wim and Karin bought the loft and found themselves challenged to make something beautiful out of the isolated box, as Wim calls their home with a big smile. “We asked ourselves: what is really important for us? The conclusion was: space, light and symmetry while retaining some characteristic elements. In addition, the most important areas had to be water fronted and to obtain enough light we wanted to implemented skylight and high steel doors.” Their interior is Scandinavian minimalistic, with a leading role for blond wood.
