Five years ago, this young couple bought this 1928 semi-detached house. The house, formerly owned by the local jute factory, needed a total renovation. Everything is renewed and the most of it by themselves. The ground floor was given a new layout, underfloor heating was installed and isolated but above all a lot of painting had to be done. Selena and Tim regularly encountered original details that they have restored with great patience, such as the terrazzo floor in the hallway. Now that the major renovations are behind them, Selena find more time for fun DIY makers such as the crocheted lamp in the living room, the hanging lamp above the dining room table and daughter Sara’s pimped children’s kitchen. The garden is also transformed beyond recognition into a lush, green oasis.
