De Roode Hoeve is a more than a hundred year old, T-shaped Dutch farmhouse. Aries family are the owners since 1907. Liesbeth and Arie are the third generation that lives here. After running a farm for over twenty years, they changed course. They started selling pine furniture and later, when Arie became a qualified carpenter, the former stables became his atelier where he designs his own furniture. In November, that same place changes into an atmospheric Christmas location, as in the weeks before Christmas, Liesbeth transform the former stables into a Winter Wonderland. For years she organizes special Christmas Atmosphere Days. She uses feathers, berries, shells, fruits, branches and flowers from her own garden. And the collection of antiques and flea markets items that she built up over the years also fit beautifully into the atmosphere she creates and inspires visitors.
