This delightful fully furnished gamekeeper’s lodge, and holiday home, is at walking distance from the main house, De Vledderhof on the Boschlust estate, where Ineke and Erik live. ‘De Vledderhof’ is part of a nature reserve, a 5000 hectare piece of land known as the Drents Friese Wold. The lodge formerly belonged to an elderly lady who used it as her country home. After purchase, the couple gave it a thorough overhaul. The couple put a lot of work into giving the lodge a new lease of life, where possible doing the work themselves. “Erik is great with his hands and also had a lot of ideas about the renovation. We also trust our instincts, which is what makes this interior so special.”
