Former café

In 1969 it was a famous café because a Dutch Blues band, named Cuby and the Blizzards organized a meeting here. In addition, the intention was to make a film for television and to take photographs of which one would b used for a record cover for the band’s new LP. In recent years, many visitors and fans of Cuby and the Blizzards still visited the former café Perkaan in Wezup to keep the memory of this alive. In 2019, however, the café was sold to Anouschka and Harm-Jan who converted it into a private residence, ending the story about Cuby and the Blizzards there for good. It has been wonderfully restored, while retaining old elements; the tap in the kitchen is reminiscent of earlier times.
