Twenty-eight years ago Inge and Aak moved to their new house. Because they were expecting a baby, rebuilding wasn’t a top priority. But after six months Inge was used to her new role as a mom. She looked around and thought: I’m living in somebody else’s house. Thin brick slips on the walls, a dark brown kitchen, a very ugly chimney… “I felt aversion to each and every element. Suddenly it looked as we were living in a museum.” Aak starts remodeling their home and he appears to have two right hands! During the last ten years their house transformed into a home for the whole family. It’s both very stylish and warm, each room decorated in the same style, with new and old, sober and natural materials.
