Sumire and her daughter Elois love this house that was built in 1871. Sumire is working since 2011 as a violinist with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra. After a burn-out and the desire to be more at home for her daughter, she started studying interior styling. She graduated and is starting her own business. Their house located in an alley in the heart of Haarlem is their warm home haven. Samire bought it in 2016 and there was some work to be done but it had of itself already such an atmosphere. Love at first sight! It was an enormous renovation and they had to do a lot themselves. Because of her small budget, the decoration consists mainly of her parents’ collection (father is a painter) and second-hand finds. They are very happy here and have no intention of ever leaving!
