Martje loves old stuff, things that have a story to tell. But she’s keen on combining her vintage treasures with hip accessories, bright whites and sleek designs for a fresh look. The background for all this: a wonderful villa built in 1897 where she lives with her husband Ruben and their two kids. It is a house with character, beautiful old details and a wonderfully spacious garden. The caravan in the garden is made by Ruben himself. They have made an extra building in the garden where, in addition to the children’s playroom, the laundry and storage room, there is also a guest apartment with its own kitchen and bathroom.
