Susie lives with her husband and two daughters, in a small village in the shadow of Munich in Germany. The house is built on the slopes of a mountain overlooking Lake Ammer. The property has been in possession of the family for decades and was built by Susie’s grandfather. After moving in Susie refurbished room by room, decorated with antiques in different shades of white. Her Christmas decorating is not overdone, Susie likes to keep it subtle; green boughs of holly to decorate seats, doors and mirrors. The small simple Christmas trees fit beautifully in the interior as well as the old, yellowed boxes with antique Christmas decorations. Creating a calm and cosy atmosphere to be with her family and enjoy homemade food all together, this is what Christmas is about for Susie.
