Jacques and Hermine visited France for years looking for beautiful antique and brocante items. Getting back and forth from the Netherlands to France and back again, came to an end because the couple ran into a house in a small French town called Vicq. After some refurbishment, painting and then decorating, Jacques and Hermine could enjoy the quiet life in the French village. In the summers they stay here, in the winter months they go back to their home in the Netherlands. The house is furnished with many antique and brocante items. In some rooms of the house Hermine has opted for soft pastels. Everything has a romantic, soft appearance. In the afternoon and during long sultry evenings they enjoy, behind the house under the porch, with a glass of rose of the last sunbeams and the panoramic view.
