In 2001 Melanie and Kevin bought this former farmhouse from around 1890. It is located in the middle of a quiet Belgian village. A well-considered choice because Luxembourg (where Kevin works) is only an hour’s drive away. The previous owners already had the old building extensively renovated but there was still plenty to do. They moved the stairs, put double glazing, a new wooden floor was installed and the walls were given a fresh layer of clay. The garden was also completely changed. Luckily Kevin is very handy which means that – along with his creative wife’s plans – this couple does and can do a lot by themselves. They created a unique home for them and their four sons.
