Designer Tjimkje de Boer has her living and working space in a former warehouse. It was totally stripped so she could decide on everything in terms of layout etc. The rooms are huge and her living area is only a small part of the property. Her living space is very colourful and is characterized by an exciting combination of vintage objects, design classics, own designs and stuff from the flea market. The quirky interior is very close to her personality and is refreshing and surprisingly. The striking, monumental cuisine is designed by her and manufactured from synthetic resin. Also the dining table with steel chassis and glass sheet in various shades of green and yellow is a design of Tjimkje. The “spaghetti chairs” around it are Italian design classics. She decided to create the huge wall painting consisting of coloured triangles very impulsively shortly before the scheduled photo shoot, typically Tjimkje.
