
Their apartment was not only worn out by countless, temporary tenants, it had also been used as a bank building and therefor it was painted green from top to bottom. Furthermore it had suspended ceilings, countertops and safes…not the things that make a house attractive. The building was for sale for almost two years when Martin and Simone decided to take a look inside. “It was large, so it had the possibility to make something special out of it.” When Martin’s sister, who is an interior architect, came up with great ideas, for example: remove a floor and create a space with double height- the young couple thought: lets make an offer, because if we don’t we might regret it later.
