This fortified ‘Mas’ of the 14th century is developed by Dutch architect Hans and his wife Eva. Initially they wanted to use it as a holiday home, but they loved it so much so they have been living here permanently for twelve years. Besides their home La Donzelenche has three gites and a guest room in the house and a small eco-campsite on the side. The furnishing respects the authentic features of the medieval house by using historical treasures from flea markets and beautiful natural materials. Many of the fabric used in the house and guestrooms are handmade by Eva. Next to the Mas she has her own studio in which she felts wool of her own merino sheep.
