Makien lives with her husband, daughter, dog and cats in a bungalow which they bought in 2016. Before they moved in they renovated the house during 6 months. The houses from the 60s had many small spaces. Now their home is a nice fresh, light, open house. The interior consists of a mix of things that they both find beautiful. But especially Makien loves things that are a bit kitsch and so a very mismatch has arisen with the very neutral and modern base. She likes velvet fabrics and gold accents, which makes her kitsch even more kitsch.
