Dieke and Benno live in one of the six mansions built in a former bread factory in the center of Utrecht. The factory hall was built in 1948 and is industrial heritage. It was closed in 2004 and in 2020 it was decided to give the neighbourhood a metamorphosis and to turn the former bread factory into homes. Dieke and Benno were able to determine the layout/floor plan themselves. They opted for clean lines, lots of air and light with a modern, yet playful design. The interior is white and light with but with colourful details. They have a small garden for themselves and together with other residents they share a common courtyard on the plot.
