Before Thérèse and Kees bought this house they often drove through this area of France on their way back home from their summer holidays. They came from sunny Spain or Portugal and they were charmed by the Normandy green freshness every time they saw this part of France. They started dreaming about a small house in this area and asked a notary to search for a suitable house. They were lucky because he came up with this small, very old but also very adorable half-timbered house ‘Le petit val’, halfway in a valley and surrounded by lushly green meadows. Most of their furniture is hand-made by Kees, like the benches, tables and most of the cupboards. The rest is French antique or brocante. They prefer things to go well together, harmony and a serenity are two features that describes their interior decoration very well.
