Jelle lives with his cat Yumi in a beautiful 2 floor apartment (70m2) with roof terrace in the heart of De Pijp in Amsterdam. Something he never dared to dream of became a reality when he bought this house in 2018. It was an impractical house with a bad layout. Jelle immediately got to work and made the spaces bigger by removing the partition walls. The ceiling was removed so that even more of the authentic beams and original fireplace became visible again. The ensuite bathroom was also Jelle’s idea. Jelle furnished the house with a mix of timeless design, vintage and family heirlooms with emotional value. The house often gets makeovers when Jelle likes a new colour or finds a cool item through ’Marketplace’ or ‘Catawiki’. Furthermore, the roof terrace is a gem in the middle of the city. A new glass house is planned on the roof terrace.
