In Donryp, a Dutch small Frisian village in the Netherlands a beautiful farm almost burned down completely in 1933. Fortunately the solid foundations survived the disaster. The beautiful tiles in the hall and the stairwell, the stained glass windows and terrazzo floors, all in neoclassical Amsterdam style, witnessed the fire and are still vividly present in this amazing farmhouse. Outside the eye catches a grant garden overlooking a typically Dutch landscape. Titia and Willem have lived here since 2003, they have an attractive quirky taste what really gives the whole a special cachet. Almost everything comes from thrift stores, marketplaces, heirlooms or even from previous residents. In 2008 they received a Duch award, “Farm of the Year”.
