Mark and Josje live in a nostalgic house with high ceilings in Tilburg, the south of The Netherlands. The hallway, front and middle room, conservatory, patio, kitchen and work areas … all breathe the same atmosphere. The base is plain and white, but when you take a closer look you discover the impact of the countries that inspired them. Like France and Scandinavia but they also travel to South Africa. These countries have enriched their flavour and influenced them. They regularly travel to buy antique and they refurbish the furniture itself or when needed scratch the paint off so the original colour comes alive. To achieve this you have to have a lot of patience, but the reward is the beautiful original patina that emerges.
