Fourteen years ago Gert-Jan, Corinne and their kids made a bike tour across the ‘Utrechtse Heuvelrug’. As they entered an old estate they stopped for the breathtaking view: at the end of an open field stood a historical lodge. The couple learned that the lodge that was built in 1840 was for sale and bought the beautiful building a few months later. The house was a ruin, but also a hidden pearl, with many authentic elements. They thought over every detail and had the house renovated with fine materials and craftsmanship. The interior is inspired by nature that surrounds them and their love for modern art and antique objects. Together with fabrics and wallpapers in lovely colors and nature motifs it turned out to be a daring combination.
