As often as she could Marga drove to her Frisian holiday address. The authentic atmosphere of the village, the villagers, and the lake…everything attracted her and Marga had more and more the feeling she wanted to live here permanently. She was very happy to find out that her husband Arjen was confident about that idea too. The couple bought a dilapidated house three years ago. An old forge from 1906 that was already vacant for more than four years. “I noticed the building every now and then, because the front of the house was almost completely enclosed in blue plastic. But I never thought that this would be my home in the future.” She went to visit the old house, found out that there were lovely old beams hidden behind the ugly suspended ceiling and she bought the house. “Arjen saw our house for the first after we received the keys!” Marga designed a complete new home within the old walls of the former forge. A house with quit some highlights: like a luxurious freestanding bath overlooking the lake and a roof top terrace, inspired on the The High Line Park in New York City.
