Henk and Marleen started a French adventure with their 3 children five years ago. In search of their dream home in France, they came across a nice house on the internet. It is located in Embry in Northern France, an old stately farmhouse from 1896 with a spacious garden. The nice layout and the garden made them decide to buy this as a second house. The cozy kitchen with authentic fireplace and old floor tiles is the favourite place to stay. The previous occupant, an artist, had painted everything blue in the living room, Marleen and Henk left it this way. Through the years, much has been refurbished, but they are not finished yet. It only takes 3 hours traveling from their home in the Netherlands to their second home in France, so they can spend a lot of time in their French hideaway.
