With an eye to the future, this family decided a few years ago to build a stylish outbuilding next to their home. B&B ‘Erve Jonkerhoeve’ is a beautiful place to sleep and a hidden gem in Brabant in the south of the Netherlands. The name arose from the fact that the farm was completely destroyed by a lightning strike after the war. The mayor granted a permit for the reconstruction and gave permission to cut wood from the nearby ‘Jonkerbos’. The family thought it was a nice idea to name their bed and breakfast after the forest. The interior style is mainly rural, sturdy and sober. Especially items made of old wood, and materials that look worn, are present.
