The house of this Dutch family is based in a well-known quarter in Arnhem that was known as the red-light district years ago. Unlike the rest of the neighbours, Patrick and Linda, have opted for an open structure in their new build home. The ceilings they have left concrete and the staircase is a prominent object in the living room. The sliding doors, which can almost completely open up, connects the interior with the garden. To optimize the space of the small city garden they had it designed by a landscape architect. Linda chose the plants herself, she wanted a garden with a rural country feeling. The family is very happy to have their own green oasis in the busy city.
