A small floor of 85m2 in the famous neighborhood ‘De Pijp’ in Amsterdam has such a chic character that it can even be considered a suite in a luxury boutique hotel. Resident Ruud, a visual editor by trade, has collected characteristic art which gives his house a completely individual character. Partly due to the advice and adjustments made by interior architect Martijn Veldman, the house has so much allure. Martijn recommended an open closet and not a walk-in closet, because that takes away the power of the space. The open bathroom has also emerged from a spatial technical perspective. Ruud: “My dream has always been to walk straight into the bathroom from my bed.”
