Fifteen years ago Mariëlle and her husband Kees bought this charming farm, which then looked very different. Until a few years ago, her parents-in-law lived in the front house and the family with the four children in the back house. “True happiness does not lie in having a nice house,” says Mariëlle. “But it is wonderful to live in a nice place. We have put a lot of time and energy into refurbishing our farm. We are now enjoying the benefits of that every day.”
