Eighteen years ago Brecht was able to convert her hobby into her work as she opened her own interior shop in the center of Joure. Just around the corner of her shop she and her husband Jetze bought an old, authentic building, that need to be rebuild almost completely. It was a former Frisian butter venture, full with little rooms and ugly ceilings. After one year of do-it-yourself renovation the couple moved in and Brecht started decorating. Brecht loves ‘nothing’ and she enjoys strong lines in her interior. Therefore you will not find any unnecessary furniture or accessories in her house. The things Brecht puts in have to be functional and beautiful. And they are… just have a look yourself!
