The first moment Sanne saw the front door of her old coach-house she fell in love. “The door is situated in the middle of the house and I love symmetry!” And after she visited the historic building, there was no way back: a large living room with beautiful arched windows and behind the garden a small courtyard, the former country estate. “This coach-house belonged to a big country house that was built here in 1903 by the director of the cruise company Holland America Line.” The last owners did love colour: purple, blue, yellow, green, each room had a different tint. The first thing Sanne did when she became the new owner was buying buckets of light paint to give her new home a bright character. And she managed to preserve the old charm of this historical building but also to give the interior a contemporary touch. With new and old furniture, design and art, lovely fabrics and a pallet of tranquil colors.
