Beatrice and her husband Jan have been living in Rotterdam for 27 years. At first they lived in the same street in an upper house.. from this house they looked into a garden a few houses away… When this house came up for sale, they didn’t hesitate for a moment. Beatrice has a penchant for the Arts & Crafts movement, a bit of a Bloomsbury vibe. They decorate the walls of the original stairwell and the living room with Morris & Co wallpaper. The eclectic interior atmosphere is created by the combination of beautiful wall paintings by Snijder and Co by the fireplace and the surprising use of colour by Farrow & Ball (Stone Blue in the dining room). Wool felt rugs from Beatrice lie in front of the couch and on the bed. Passion for nature, craftsmanship and real materials can be seen in her work and home. She likes to surround herself with objects that are made with love.
