Marion and her husband live in the south of the Netherlands in part of a farm that was originally built in 1637. Their living room and kitchen once were stables for livestock. When they bought the property, they decided to start a huge renovation project, to make the house a more livable place. When they almost finished their project, their lovely home burned down completely. The monumental façade was the only part that could be saved. But it gave them the chance to build their dream house, a home exactly as they always had in their minds. So behind the lovely old façade Marion created a Swedish, rural atmosphere. With a beautiful kitchen that is a story of its own: it is made of an old, Swedish barn, that stood in the countryside of Sweden completely dilapidated. From the wood Marion had this lovely kitchen made.
