At heritage B&B Hoeve De Kerckhem in Haspengouw, the fruit region of Belgium, they seize the day. Especially in autumn, when the dozens of different types of apple and pear trees are full of ripe fruit. Colourful culinary dishes are prepared with the fresh harvest from their own land in the farm restaurant. Upstairs, guests wake up with the smell of fresh coffee and bread. The rooms are decorated in a warm country style entrusted to the owner, florist and chef Tessa. Husband Erik has put heart and soul and authenticity into the restoration of all rooms. Son Nanne is the vegetable garden chef and takes care of the pigs, chickens, rabbits and ducks in the yard. As a confectioner, his girlfriend Lucie made Michelin star delicacies in England. Together they overwhelm the guests with their passion for hospitality, good food, interior design and heart-warming company.
