In Marieke’s opinion is Nasturtium (Tropaeolum majus) a must-have in the vegetable, allotment or ornamental garden. The colourful flowers, from pale yellow to bright orange to deep red, are decorative in the garden and are also edible. They brighten up a salad with colour and make it spicy because of the peppery flavor. The plant is easy to grow and sows out every year. From June to late October the flowers keep coming and also in a vase the flowering branches are lasting long. Marieke created small dishes with the colourful flowers and leaves.
