The home of Hans and Karin has a fairy-tale atmosphere anyway, around Christmas it is completely enchanting. The house is on the estate of Castle Middachten in a beautiful area. At December the castle is completely decorated in a Christmas atmosphere with a real nativity scene. The donkeys regularly come to stay with Hans and Karin. The whole area exudes Christmas and Karin is happy to participate. Every year she turns out to be grand and at the beginning of December the first decorations appear. She also loves to make beautiful wreaths and garlands. Everywhere candles and lights, even the stables are decorated. For Hans and Karin, Christmas is dominated by warm friendship and affection for friends and family, so the kitchen table is almost always full of acquaintances where people eat, drinkand chat. Here too Karin makes a lot of work on the decoration; the chandelier is decorated with greenery and a nicely set table.
