The London artist Rachel Dein found a special way to preserve her favourite flowers. After creating a wonderful composition, she presses them gently into a clay mould. In the positive plaquettes she makes, the flowers will bloom forever, like fossils in concrete and plaster. Rachel won’t have to travel far to pick the most decorative and delicate flowers and leaves; she just has to step outside her lovely home in London, where in the surrounding garden she grows varieties like ferns, Dicentra and Anemone hupehensis.
