When designer and interior architect Bert van der Grift was given the chance to buy a dilapidated old Jugendstil house he did not hesitate. He immediately saw the potential of the house with original features. The renovation took a year before he and his wife Sandra and their three children were able to live in the house. When you enter the house you will immediately notice the beautiful old Dutch colours they used: light gray and blue of Dutch cloudy skies complemented by warm yellow ocher and deep oxblood red. Throughout the house are prototypes of designs that Bert with his partner Dennis designed for various labels. Together with a number of items from the collection of Thomas Eyck and finds from the flea market, it provides a unique atmosphere that fits with the residents.
