Behind the impressive old facade of Het Hoogh Huys in the Dutch fruitdistrict Femmigje designed attractive ‘flowerrooms’ both inside and outside the house. Guests of the B&B and weddingcouples and their party receive a blooming welcome here between brocante treasures and own industrial design. Every morning the host picks fresh fieldflowers for natural decorations; there’s never a day without flowers on Het Hoog Huys! Large pots, pergola’s and jardinières in the garden are covered by blue, pink, purple and white perrenials and annuals. The berceau of blue Wisteria is the most romantic spot for weddings. Femmigje fully restored the old greenhouse on the property. It’s the favorite garden room of the family. Whether the jasmin is flowering in springtime or the herbs spread there scent of summer. And if it’s getting cold, a big woodfire is build to replace the warmth of the sun.
