The Helleborus is often called Christmas Roses but Winter rose is a better name for the plant because we usually see her flowers around February. While the rest of the garden seems to be in hibernation around February, the Helleborus is the only plant that is alive and kicking. It takes three years between sowing and selling a young plant then you can buy a very strong plant that will grow quickly in the garden to a large size. Although the Helleborus is a garden plant, we collected her in order to enjoy the beautiful flowers. In pot on the balcony or floating in a nice bowl, in small, colourful vases or even completely behind glass. The cut flowers will last for a week. For those who prefer not to cut the flowers you can make them yourself cut out of paper.
